Damming induces convergence of riverscapes in the Nile, Yangtze, and Amazon Basin: The importance of localized watershed management

Riverscapes are continuously evolving due to the ongoing effects of dam construction, resulting in the emergence of new riverscape patterns. Our research indicates that these altered riverscape structures are becoming more resembling globally, influenced by actors such as climate conditions, proximity to the dam, and both direct and indirect human activities.
